It's a good thing the tooth fairy got some change with her X-Large Coke today!
So....because picture day is tomorrow.....
In the morning Hallie wanted to show us her dollar and wanted to bring it to school to share. We told her that she worked hard for that dollar when the tooth first came in and that we'd hate for her to lose that special single. Attn. Grandparents....it should be noted here, that she not only intends on showing you the vacancy in her mouth, but the actual dollar as well. She asked her teacher if she could tell the class and after regaling them with the details of her adventure, she explained that the tooth fairy (that held the tooth) was just the helper. She wasn't the real thing.
We were headed south for the wedding of one of Dad's best friends with the intention of having plenty of time to stop at Hotel Granny and Grandpa first. As the journey unfolded, we found ourselves in traffic the entire drive - and, the unreasonable, no danger or stray animals in sight kind. With a grumpy dad at the wheel, hungry kids who had long since devoured the supply of crackers, granola, fruit bars and water (and a mom in need of a chiropractor as a result of the twisting and handing things to the back seat) we were ready to jump. Since
Mom had packed a lunch to eat in the hotel dining room, we decided to stop at a park and eat before heading straight to the wedding rehearsal. Thanks to the awful traffic and because of the carefully planned and food grouped meal, we had a wonderful 45 minute diversion, of the picnic variety, at cute little park off the freeway. So, on an otherwise hectic and overcast Saturday, we made sunshiny lemonade out of lemons - metaphorically speaking, of course.
